Roasted cumin powder it is very simple, quick and easy to make at home. Roasted cumin powder is an aromatic spice powder. Cumin seeds very important role in Indian cuisine. It’s used in raita, fruit salad or chat, Dahi wada, Indian chaat, snacks, Bhel and buttermilk and many more dishes.
  • Cumin (Jeera) – ½ cup
  1. Heat a wide pan or wok or iron tawa on medium flame.
  2. When the pan is hot add cumin seeds and roast over a low medium flame.
  3. Keep stirring for 2 minutes or until they become light golden brown.
  4. Switch off the flame and remove the flame and cool to room temperature.
  5. When cool, keep it in air tight container or jar.
