Ingredients
- Fresh drumsticks – 200 grams (cleaned and chopped)
- Potato – 1 (Sliced)
- Onion – 1/2 (Sliced)
- Mustard Oil – 2 tablespoons
Paste For Curry
- Onion – 1/2
- Tomatoes – 1/2
- Green chilies – 3
- Garlic cloves – 7
- Ginger – 1/2 inch
For Dry Masala
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
For Tempering
Method
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add panch phoran. Let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and sauté for 2 minutes. Then add potatoes and sauté until golden brown. Add chopped drumsticks and season with salt to taste. Mix well until the drumsticks are coated with the ingredients.
- Next, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder, ensuring the drumsticks are thoroughly coated with the flavourful spices. Add onion-tomato paste and sauté for 5 minutes. Cover the pan.
- Pour in enough water to cover the drumsticks. Cover and cook on low heat, simmering for 10-15 minutes until the drumsticks become tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once the drumsticks are cooked, turn off the heat.
